The O’Fallon Historical Museum is housed in six buildings of community donated artifacts. The homesteading lifestyle is illustrated with a tar paper homestead house, the Duffield homestead house, and the Lambert house, each containing items used in everyday life in the early 1900’s. The trading post, barber shop, dress shop, and parlor take one back to Baker’s early days. The camera room chronicles a pictorial account of the changes to our community’s landscape. We have a building full of early farm equipment including a Yellow Fellow thrashing machine from 1900 that is made of wood and vehicles including a 1927 Model T truck. The main building is the original Fallon County Jail that was built in 1916 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This building contains military artifacts from our service men and women in World Wars I and II and much more, including Steer Montana, the world’s largest steer at 3,980 pounds. Admission is FREE - we look forward to hosting you!
