About the Position and Department: Detention Officers work in the Fallon County Detention Center under the direct supervision of the Fallon County Sheriff. This is a full-time, permanent position. Position Overview: This position oversees and maintains custody, care, and control of inmates incarcerated at the Fallon County Detention Center.

Required Education and Experience: Employment with Fallon County requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be a citizen of the United States of America, reside within Fallon County, and be at least eighteen (18) years of age. May not have been convicted of a crime which could have resulted in imprisonment in a federal or state penitentiary. Be of good moral character, as determined by a thorough background screen. Must be able to pass a post-employment physical and be able to perform Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques and physical interventions including the use of physical restraints. The successful applicant will be subject to comprehensive criminal and motor vehicle driving background checks.

Preferred Education and Experience: One (1) year related work experience is preferred.

This position requires unsupervised contact with incarcerated individuals and is subject to a pre-employment criminal background check; successful candidates may not hold felony criminal convictions that could have resulted in imprisonment in a federal or state penitentiary or convictions for violent crimes. About the Position and Department: The Justice Court Clerk is part of our Justice of the Peace office and

is under the direct supervision of the Justice of the Peace. This is a part-time, permanent, then (10) hours a week

position: Wednesday 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday 110:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The successful candidate

may work in conjunction with the City Court Clerk position: ten (10) hours with Fallon County and then (10)

hours with the City of Baker, for a total of twenty (20) hours per week.

Position Overview: This position performs a variety of clerical functions to support the office of the Justice of the Peace including greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to inquiries, court case processing, records management, and receipt of monies. Schedules and attends hearings; prepares court documents.

Provides a high level of customer service to the public, attorneys, and other interested parties.

Required Education and Experience: Employment with the County requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

On the job training will be provided! This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys public service with a limited weekly commitment.

Preferred Education and Experience: Previous experience in the judicial or legal setting as well as general accounting procedures is preferred.

About the Position and Department: The Lakeview Golf Course is a public 9-hole golf course offering a wonderful recreational opportunity for our community. This is a full-time, permanent, forty (40) hours a week position under the direct supervision of the Fallon County Commission.

Position Overview: This position directs and participates in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the course and grounds at the Lakeview Golf Course. This includes management of the turf/grass program, irrigation system, water usage, and pesticide applications. Maintains variety of equipment including but not limited to mowers, weedeaters, blowers, and utility carts. This hands-on position performs extensive manual labor in a variety of weather conditions. Supervises and directs the work of a seasonal crew.

Required Education and Experience: Employment with Fallon County requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. The above knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a two (2) year degree or certificate in Turf Management or related field (such as agronomy, horticulture, plant science or soil science) and at least five (5) years’ experience in golf course maintenance. Must understand the game of golf. Must have at least one (1) year experience in herbicide and pesticide application. Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Must possess or obtain a Montana driver license within thirty (30) days of employment. About the Position and Department: The Seasonal Weed Crew Driver is under the direct supervision of the Weed Control Coordinator for our Noxious Weed department. This is a full-time seasonal position. This department is responsible for the implementation and application of our noxious weed control plan.

Position Overview: This position uses a variety chemical spray equipment to control identified noxious weeds in Fallon County; this requires extensive outside manual labor in a variety of weather conditions. Participates in regular maintenance of equipment and cleaning of the facility.
