SMART was established as an economic development organization in 2003. What started as an organization run strictly by volunteers has now evolved to an organization that houses many different resources for the community. From serving as a resource for small business development to serving as a liaison between the community and local government entities, SMART is also an integral part of the community that continues to build a sense of place at both the county and community levels.

To promote and enhance a healthy environment, social and educational growth by involving government entities and citizens of the area to provide an improved and more diversified economic base.

VISION

To see the future of Fallon County as a stable, local hub for business and social functions by providing current businesses with incentive to remain, encourage new enterprises to develop for continued economic growth, thus providing a stable economy.
